Arguably one of the greatest producers in the underground industry to date, Marty Frank has been an influence on too many to count. More familiar to some as his alter ego ABELCAIN with releases on Low Res and Zhark, or his notorious HAVE A FEW, GET SOME project with dj Anonymous on Addict, the original Davros sound is punishing, relentless and 100% neck breaking madness. XANOPTICON (Pittsburgh, PA : Hymen, Peaceoff, Tigerbeat6, Mirex, Zhark)
Xanopticon's science fiction blasts of densely structured breaks defy description. The human capacity for assimilating these broken atmospheres and deconstructed rhythms is pushed beyond its dimensions as he slaughters you with his laptop based live set. Often compared to others in the splintered breaks catagory, but making them all sound like easy listening elevator music in the process, Xanopticon will bring the noise and sound the sirens of the impending apocalypse.
SLUTMACHINE (Minneapolis, MN : Zhark)
The most recent addition to the Zhark roster, Slutmachine weaves a dense carpet of breakcore, dark experimental electronic & neoclassical. Glitchy breaks & tortured atmospherics are distilled from a wide palette of circuit bent instruments, lock groove & modified records, cello, guitar, gameboy, experimental software and found sounds. Slutmachine will suck you into his black hole of sonic destruction!
